1 December; zero hours.

In fairness, I’ve probably made more than one hour’s worth of doodles during lectures, but I can’t say it’s deliberate practice. I also want to hit it home that I haven’t done much of anything in the last two weeks, even after life drawing and other events get organised for me.

I’ll give my excuse, even though it doesn’t count for much: the day after I made my post, the light in my room stopped working. If my Spartan decorations didn’t give the game away, the fact that my room is lit by two computer screens is probably enough to let people know about my course choice. Still, it is making it fairly impossible to draw in here, and I’m not at the standard required to draw in public places.

If it’s possible to cite it as an alternative, I have been reading The Practice and Science of Drawing. It’s definitely not a shortcut or anything outstanding, but maybe I just haven’t read enough to be enlightened yet.

The light is fixed, and I can definitely get to 1,100 by the end of the decade.
